Law students actually cannot perform legal services on their own.  Because they do not have a law degree yet, this is considered the unauthorized practice of law.

However, there are some resources that you might find helpful:

  • IN.gov - Find a Legal Provider - a listing of pro bono and legal aid services across the state; you might also check at your local courthouse for any local legal aid resources they might be able to recommend.
  • The law school also has a Community Legal Clinic; they have their own intake procedure, so you will have to contact them to see if you qualify for their services.
